This November, join us at Synapse to explore nervous system health through education, practical strategies, and complementary therapies.
Registered Clinical Social Worker Ashley Gazley will lead an educational session exploring how the nervous system works, what happens when it becomes activated, and common misconceptions about nervous system regulation—including the idea that we should remain regulated at all times. Ashley will also share practical, everyday strategies participants can use to respond when their nervous system activates.
Alongside the educational session, participants can experience acupuncture and/or ear seeding (auricular therapy) to help calm and soothe the nervous system. The session will also incorporate guided imagery and sound therapy through shamanic drumming to encourage relaxation.
Space is limited to 12–15 participants.
Cost: Free or pay what you can, up to a maximum of $20 per person.
Community Wellness is a not-for-profit initiative that aims to make allied health therapies more accessible. Contributions help cover the cost of supplies, and we donate any remaining proceeds to heart causes selected by Community Wellness participants and providers.
Just come as you are and experience the calming, restorative, and educational benefits of allied health therapies in a welcoming space.
