Physiotherapist (FT/PT) — Build your practice at Synapse
Full-time or part-time | Sherwood Park, Alberta | 60% fee split | Flexible schedule
You’ve built your clinical skills. Now you want more control over how you practice — and more opportunity to build something of your own.
Synapse by Park Integrative Health is looking for a physiotherapist who wants the autonomy to build a practice without building a clinic from scratch.
This opportunity is especially well suited to an established physiotherapist with an existing caseload or referral network, or an entrepreneurial practitioner who is motivated to grow a sustainable practice in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Are you ready to build your practice?
WHY SYNAPSE:
A competitive 60% fee split
We know compensation matters. Our 60% practitioner split is designed to give you meaningful earning potential as your practice grows.
Build a schedule that works for you
We offer flexibility in how you structure your clinic hours, whether you are growing a full-time practice or adding Synapse to an existing one.
Bring your practice with you
Already have patients, referral relationships, or a community you serve? Synapse offers an established clinic environment where you can continue building your practice while becoming part of a broader healthcare team.
Work alongside other health disciplines
Synapse and Park Integrative Health bring together practitioners across physiotherapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, acupuncture, medicine, mental health, nutrition, and other areas of care.
That means opportunities for collaboration, interdisciplinary thinking, and appropriate cross-referrals when they support the patient’s care.
Keep investing in your practice
We support continuing education and professional development so you can continue building your clinical skills and shaping the kind of practice you want to have.
Practice in an established healthcare environment
Synapse is part of Park Integrative Health, an integrative healthcare organization serving Sherwood Park, Edmonton, and surrounding communities.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
This is not a role built around stepping into someone else’s schedule or treatment model.
We are looking for a physiotherapist who wants ownership over their practice.
You may already have an established caseload and be looking for the right clinic to call home. You may have strong referral relationships or a niche you want to grow. Or you may simply be ready for more autonomy than a traditional clinic model offers.
You will have the opportunity to:
assess and treat patients across a range of musculoskeletal, mobility, rehabilitation, and pain concerns;
develop individualized, evidence-informed treatment plans;
use manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, education, and other modalities within your scope and training;
build relationships with patients, referral partners, and the surrounding community;
collaborate with practitioners across Synapse and Park Integrative Health when it benefits patient care;
develop areas of clinical interest or specialization within your practice;
participate in continuing education and professional development; and
contribute to the continued growth of Synapse.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
You are a registered physiotherapist who combines strong clinical care with an entrepreneurial mindset.
You value independence, but you do not want to practice in isolation.
You enjoy building relationships, developing a loyal patient base, and actively growing your practice.
You may be especially well suited to Synapse if you:
already have an established caseload or professional referral network;
are looking to relocate or grow an existing practice;
have an established clinical niche or area of interest;
want greater control over your schedule and earning potential;
enjoy working alongside other health disciplines; or
are motivated by the opportunity to build rather than simply inherit a caseload.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
Eligible to practise physiotherapy in Alberta
Current CPR certification
Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient education skills
Commitment to evidence-informed, patient-centred care
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Additional training in areas such as manual therapy, dry needling, pelvic health, vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management, sports rehabilitation, chronic pain, or other areas of physiotherapy is welcome but not required.
A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING:
As part of the Synapse and Park Integrative Health community, practitioners may also have access to:
flexible scheduling;
continuing education support;
treatments and services through our Staff Wellness Program;
opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration;
professional development and mentorship; and
a welcoming, established clinic environment in Sherwood Park.
